Our Active charcoal bar is enriched with active charcoal which is 100% of vegetable origins. The soap is also enriched with organic shea butter, which is a natural skin moisturiser and creates a natural creamy softening lather.
The soap is made in Marseille by traditional artisan soapmakers using natural vegetable oils and naturally sourced local fragrances. The active charcoal is added at the end of the saponification process to retain its natural properties.
Vegetable charcoal is a 100% natural ingredient often made from the combustion of coconut or even olive pits. It's a natural sustainable ingredient that has been used in soap for centuries, right back to the Egyptians and the Ancient Romans.
Active charcoal is added for its purifying and detoxifying properties and can be particularly helpful for combination to oily or problem skin. It is considered to be good for managing the overproduction of sebum which can sometimes be the cause of blackheads and acne.
The soap is vegan, paraben-free, and cruelty-free. The recipe is an age-old traditional formula, not tested on animals.
The soap is triple milled eliminating excess water and air, and this creates makes it a nice hard soap. As with any natural, artisan-made product, every bar might be a little bit different. Soap can behave differently depending on ambient humidity, heat and light.Options:
1. Naked soap, no packaging
2. Soap in an aluminium screw top tin, supplied with a length of paracord for you to knot and thread. The colours of the paracord vary. It is not possible to select the colour in your tin, but you can add an extra length of your choice to your basket. Paracord has multiple uses and can be reused for your next bar.
INGREDIENTS : sodium palmate, sodium palm kernelate, aqua (water), parfum (fragrance), charcoal, palm kernel acid, sodium chloride, glycerin, butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter*, tetrasodium EDTA, tetrasodium etidronate.
If cracks appear in your soap, this is just moisture escaping and is part of the normal process. You can just rub it in or under running water and smooth out the cracks. You can even melt and reshape the soap when it gets too small to use.
See online how to do this, and do not attempt without proper instructions.
