The Soapmaking
Soapyard bars are hand made soaps, and although professional equipment and machinery is used for quality and conistency, the process is managed by hand. As such, the soaps may sometimes vary very slightly. The ambient temperature and humidity when the soap is made and dried, will mean that every batch may be very slightly different. Perhaps only noticeable to us, but that's the nature of hand made natural products.
Soaps may dry differently, crack in different ways and at different stages of use, but nothing that a quick soak and rub in water won't fix!
There are authentic Marseille soaps around that are decades old, and still good to use! Our bars are made in the Marseille region
Soaps may also get a bit knocked about in transit and occasionally get little dents or scratches. We can supply a tin which usually avoids this happening, and we pack as well as we can with paper or natural material, but soap is a delicate product. A little knock does not change the soap and a little rub under running water will smooth it out again.
