Melaleuca alternifolia aka tea tree grows wild in eastern Australia. The "Tea Tree" owes its name to Captain James Cook, Explorer of the Pacific on his voyage around the world in 1770. It grows well in swamps, and along rivers in soil rich in clay and sandy. The plant has since been introduced to the United States, Zimbabwe, New Zealand and China.

    Benefits
As a medicinal plant, tea tree has energizing and regenerating properties.
it's a good remedy for cold sores, acne, canker sores and sunburn
The essential oil can be used to treat small wounds, inflammation or to prevent any external parasite. It is often called  "the best natural antiseptic on the planet"
