Handcrafted soap scented with apricot and enriched with organic shea butter.
The apricot is a fruit that was originally found in the wild on the Tian Shan mountain range in Central Asia and then spread to other regions of China, Japan and Korea. It entered the Middle East in the first century before being transported by the Greeks and the Romans to Europe. At the time, it was used for its medicinal properties and was called Apple of Armenia by the Greek Doctor Dioscorides. The introduction of apricots in France started in the Loire Valley, before passing through Italian territory. Other apricots arrived from Spain during the Saracen occupation of Narbonne.
