Originally from Mexico, papaya is an exotic fruit that can be considered an invitation to travel. Its subtle and fruity smell always transports us to distant lands such as Brazil, India or the West Indies. Among the Caribbean peoples, papaya is used in various forms to, among other things, fight against redness of the skin and heartburn.

Melon is a fruit much appreciated in summer for its sweet taste, but also for its refreshing and dehydrating properties. Grown in hot countries, the melon has been known for years. It was the Romans who decided to use the melon to make entrees and main dishes. For the funny little anecdote, we should not try to differentiate the male melon from the female melon, which is supposed to be sweeter, this cucurbit has no gender.

The History of the Orange
The first evidence orange-trees has been found in China. Orange was later imported into Europe during the Crusades and was established mainly in Andalusia and Sicily. The first oranges were bitter, but was later replaced by the sweet orange variety. It was considered a luxury fruit until the 1st part of the XXth century, and was considered symbol of power for aristocrats.
Orange was even offered at Christmas and remains a traditional Christmas fruit. Brazil is currently the world's leading producer of oranges.

Benefits
It is the essential oil par excellence, and combines a strong anxiolytic effect - it soothes the mind, can reduce anxiety as well as having an invigorating, firming and toning effect on the skin. The oil is also used for minor digestive disorders and is an excellent choice to make your home smell really clean and fresh.

The History of Lemon
The Lemon is likely to have originated in the Mediterranean Basin,  resulting from a cross between a bitter orange and a lime type citrus, around the 5th century BC. The lemon tree was widely used as an ornamental plant, especially in the Middle Ages and was gradually introduced as a food seasoning,  just like vinegar might have been used. Due to its high acidity, it has also been used since ancient times to preserve meat. Spain and Italy are currently the 2 largest European producers of lemons. In France, Lemons are the centrepiece of the annual Lemon Festival in Menton, which has been held in the Alpes-Maritimes since 1875.

Lemon essential oil is known for its stimulating and energising properties, it is used to give a little boost, and its toning action can have a postive on the mind as well as on the body. It is also used to purify and rebalance. It can be used to enhance concentration or general fatigue.
